Privacy Policy

We collect what you give us, plus standard technical data (IP, browser type, basic analytics).

We use your content to coach you, run the platform, and train Abide's own internal AI systems — never to train third-party AI models on your conversations.

We never sell your personal information.

You can request a copy of your data or request masking by emailing support@abide.coach.

This Privacy Policy is incorporated into the Abide Terms of Service by reference.

Account information — your name, email address, time zone, profile photo (optional), authentication data (managed by Clerk). Coaching content — anything you type into any Abide surface (chat, builder, journals, notes). Voice memos. Uploaded documents. Meeting recordings — when you connect Fathom, Fireflies, Otter, or Plaud to your account, recorded coaching calls flow into Abide's Content Vault. Growth data — vine progress, branch growth, milestones, streak data, spirit fruits, tier, subscription status. Preferences — coaching style, faith posture, communication preferences. Community content — prayers and encouragements shared on the Prayer Wall (anonymous to other users by default). Technical data — IP address (hashed for consent logging), user-agent string, browser fingerprint, basic analytics.

To provide coaching — your history helps the coach remember you and personalize conversations. To track your growth — vine visualization, streaks, milestones, progress. To train Abide's internal AI systems — the Aaron Oracle, the persona vines, the coaching engines. Anonymized excerpts are used for training; identifying details are stripped. To improve the product — aggregated, anonymized patterns help us make Abide better. To operate the platform — billing, support, abuse prevention, security. To notify you — coaching nudges, weekly summaries, material changes to legal terms, account notices.

We do not sell your data to anyone, ever. We do not share your data with third-party advertisers. We do not use your conversations for advertising or marketing. We do not train third-party foundation models (OpenAI, Anthropic) on your content beyond what's necessary to deliver Abide's services to you. We do not share your identity with other users (Prayer Wall is anonymous).

Database — Supabase PostgreSQL with row-level security. Each user can only access their own data. Encryption — TLS in transit, AES at rest. Authentication — Managed by Clerk with industry-standard security practices. Isolation — Each tenant's data is isolated. Coach A's clients are not visible to Coach B.

View — see your growth data, preferences, history, and consent log in Settings.

Export — download your coaching data and builder outputs through Settings.

Delete — close your account and request data deletion through Settings or by emailing support@abide.coach. Some content may be retained per Terms of Service §8.

Mask — request that specific content be removed or masked by emailing support@abide.coach.

Clerk — authentication cookies. Essential. Intercom — support chat cookies. Helps the support team assist you. Vercel Analytics — basic page view analytics. No personal data. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or retargeting.

Abide is not designed for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Abide evolves. Material changes will be notified to active users by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when this was last changed.
